“The drumming was exhilarating and a unique experience. The combination of focus and rhythm made it very relaxing too. It was powerful too and great as a group experience.”

What would it be like to feel energised and uplifted?

Four years ago, I discovered the magic of drum circles—a powerful way to connect, create, and be fully present. At my This is ME retreat, I invited a drum circle facilitator, and the energy was transformative. Smiles lit up the room, and everyone embraced the joy of finding their rhythm without judgment. Fast forward to 2024, and for my ten-year retreat anniversary, I brought the same facilitator back. The experience was even more electric—alive, vibrant, and truly unforgettable. One lady described it as 'fizzy'.
That was my sign. For years, I had searched for a local drum circle, but nothing came close to what I’d experienced. So, in a moment of courage and determination, I decided to make my dream a reality. If I couldn’t find a tribe, I would create one. That’s why you’re here on this page—part of my next chapter as I bring my own drum circles to life.
I’ve been working closely with a highly experienced mentor, attending drum circles, learning rhythms, and deepening my understanding. I’ve seen firsthand how drum circles can help women let go of self-criticism, embrace belonging, and experience something completely different from everyday life. It’s inspired me to create a regular space where women can come together, recharge, and reconnect.
The drum circles will provide you with:
-
A chance to step away from the daily grind.
-
A space to release your creative side - yes, it’s there!
-
A fun, freeing experience with no expectations.
-
And the bonus? You’ll learn to play a djembe drum—and maybe a few others too!

What is a Drum Circle?

A drum circle is a gathering of people, each with a drum or percussion instrument, creating music together. Facilitated by an experienced leader, the session provides guidance for rhythms while encouraging freedom to explore, make connections and express yourselves.
Each circle typically lasts 1–2 hours, giving plenty of time to settle in, learn basic rhythms, and build creative, collective sounds. My drum circles include a variety of instruments, such as djembe and bougarabou drums, along with other percussion tools, to help create the diversity of sound we will make together.
Why Choose My Drum Circles?

I’ve created a nurturing space for women to step out of the everyday grind, reconnect with themselves, and simply have fun. Inspired by my own transformative journey with drum circles, I want others to experience the joy of:

-
Community – Feel part of a supportive group and connect with like-minded women.
-
Creativity – Explore your natural rhythm and express yourself freely.
-
Wellbeing – Reduce stress, tension, and anxiety while boosting energy and positivity.
-
Freedom – Let go of judgment, perfectionism, and everyday pressures.
The BEAT Philosophy
My drum circles are guided by my own BEAT philosophy:

B – Be present in the moment and the rhythm.
E – Express yourself authentically, free from judgment, perfectionism or failure, in a space where you can just be your full self.
A – Appreciate yourself, the group, and the music you create together.
T – Togetherness—embrace the sense of community and connection to support each other
My hope is that you will leave my drum circles feeling energised and lifted as you awaken your rhythm for life. Walking back through the door with a smile on your face and a sense of loosening up your body so you don’t feel so tense or stressed as you head back into your everyday life.

Do I need experience and a drum of my own?
No musical background? No problem! Everything you need—including drums—is provided. Simply bring an open mind, a willingness to try something new, and your full self. There’s no right or wrong in a drum circle; the magic happens when we create music together. What’s most important is wearing a smile and feeling part of a collective. So feel free to participate in the way that feels best for you.
To protect the drums, participants are kindly asked to remove hand/wrist jewellery or tape rings that can’t be removed. Damage will be expected to be paid for if the equipment is not respected.
