"I believe that if Brené was witnessing the day herself, she would have smiled and been proud of the way you represented her work. That is a testimony to how you ran the workshop."

Brené Brown workshops
I have recently embarked on a partnership with a lovely lady called Sanela (a certified Daring Way Faciltator) . We both have a passion for sharing the work of Brené Brown and have started running joint workshops on her work. Please see below for details of our upcoming workshops, on both the 'Daring Way' and 'Rising Strong' work.

Dr. Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Brené Brown Endowed Chair at The Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past fifteen years studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy and is the author of three #1 New York Times bestsellers: “The Gifts of Imperfection”, “Daring Greatly”, “Rising Strong” and her latest book “Braving the Wilderness”. Her TED talk “The Power of Vulnerability” is one of the top five most viewed TED talks in the world with over 25 million views.
Further information is available at www.brenebrown.com

The workshops focus on the concepts she discussed in her books and uses a mix of on-site teaching and exclusive Brené Brown videos. Through exercises and group discussions you will have the opportunity to apply the concepts to your particular challenge. Both Sanela and Nicola will share their own experience of personal transformation resulting from practicing Daring Way™, as well as ways in which they have applied it in their coaching work.*
If you haven't come across the powerful work of Brené Brown, watch her TED talk which have been in top 10 most watched talks since its publishing in 2010.
There are two ways in which you can join us to explore Brené's work.
Courage to Dare Greatly™ at Work, Home & Play
One day workshop for those who want to transform how they work, live, love and lead.
based on the research by Dr. Brené Brown
Can you relate to any of the following:
-
Do you hold yourself back in life?
-
Do you work tirelessly to get everything perfect before sharing your talents with the world?
-
Do you often compare yourself to others and feel that you’re living your potential?
-
Do you dream about being recognised and making a bigger impact at work/life but play it safe instead?
-
Are you busy figuring out how to behave and who do you need to be in order to make it?
-
Are you extremely self critical when you make a mistake or fail in your job or at home?
Does any of the above sound familiar? If so, this one day workshop based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown is for you.

Come and learn about the foundation of Daring Way™ methodology that can transform your ability to fully show up and utilise your full potential in every area of your life.

In this one day workshop we will explore:
-
A new way of thinking about courage that will allow you to be the person you want to be at work
-
The beliefs and messages that stop you from speaking up in meetings and making an impact at work
-
Vulnerability as a birthplace of your limitless power to be authentic and brave with your life
-
The behaviours and practices that keep you playing small and safe at work
-
Practices that will increase your resilience to deal with criticism and judgement at work
-
How empathy can transform how you lead and manage others
In essence we will explore how to show up, be seen, and live brave™
Rising Strong™ - Courageous Resilience
based on the research by Dr. Brené Brown
Rising Strong™ is based on the simple physics of vulnerability that if we are brave often enough, we will fall. When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories, we get to write our own brave ending.

Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, the Rising Strong process teaches you 3 clear steps you need to take in order to get back up after a fall, disappointment or a heartbreak.

In this workshop you will choose a personal story you want to work on, something you feel is keeping you back.

-
You will watch exclusive videos by Brené Brown teaching these concepts. You will have some time for personal reflection, individually or in a small group, but the pace is fast and the focus in on learning this powerful method.

Can you afford to keep on telling yourself the same story or are you ready to break the cycle and live your life with freedom and courage?

In this one day workshop we will explore:
-
Step 1: Recognition: understanding when you're being hooked. Simple but hard to do especially when the majority of us focus on solutions or pushing uncomfortable feelings away (think food, shopping, workaholic behaviours).
-
6 ways of offloading hurt and how it impacts your ability to reckon with what's really going on
-
Step 2: Rumble or the process of walking into our story and challenging conspiracies (stories with limited data points) and confabulations (lies told honestly). Our brains make up a story about what is happening to us as a way to protect us and deal with painful emotions. You will identify what story you are making up about your fall.
-
You will look into common rumbling themes: trust and self-trust, vulnerability, shame, Living BIG, criticism, grief and forgiveness.
-
Step 3: Revolution - a process of writing a new ending to your story based on the key learnings from your rumble and use this new, braver story to change how you engage with the world and to ultimately transform the way you live, love, parent and lead.

What previous participants have said:
"I didn’t know what to expect other than it would be all about me! It was that and so much more! I feel the learning has just began and it will take time to reflect and gain more insights.
You both facilitated knowledgeably with gentle passion and enthusiasm, allowing us to explore in a way that worked for us individually. You left me both curious and excited to continue the journey. Thank you." Belinda
"An enormous thank you. I loved the day. I loved how you were gentle with the Daring Way concepts, yet challenging. I loved the Arena metaphor! I look forward to the next workshop you run." Wendy
"This is a tough subject and you both handled it very well. You worked well together, as well as bringing and sharing your own personal experiences. You were both vulnerable...walking your talk!" Colin
"I believe that if Brené was witnessing the day herself, she would have smiled and been proud of the way you represented her work. I would have been happier to have had another hour, this is such an important topic and I was energised at the end, not at all tired. That is a testimony to how you run the workshop." Colin
